Recitals are informal afternoon concerts given in a variety of venues such as St. Edmund’s Church, Crickhowell; The Muse, Brecon and St. Catwg’s Church Llangattock followed by tea and cakes. Performers usually come from within the Friends and often involve other family members and friends of Friends.

Past Teas

We intend to host this musical afternoon in a more relaxed format and will take advance bookings by email to Webmaster@brecknocksinfonia.org.uk (giving number required and a contact number). Payment may be made by making a bank transfer to Brecknock Sinfonia Trust (sort code 30-90-02, account no 0107969); or by sending a cheque made out to the Brecknock Sinfonia Trust to our Treasurer, Vaughan Bennett, at 47 Oakfield Drive, Crickhowell NP8 1DR; or you may pay at the door – exact change would be very much welcomed.
We will not label seats, but we know that you will be careful about spacing and
moving around.
We shall offer a cup of tea and we hope that there will also be cake as well as
biscuits – we just need to confirm that with the church.

Charlie Beresford: Acoustic guitar/piano/voice
Sonia Hammond: cello

Since their first album release in 2014 ‘The Science of Snow’ Beresford Hammond have continued to, in the words of Ian Mann, “bring true beauty to the art of free improvisation, once again producing an intimate, accessible and strangely beautiful album to both intrigue and beguile the listener. The filmic quality of the work is very much rooted in the restless beauty, and at times unforgiving nature, of the Welsh Marches where they are both based.”
To comply with Covid regulations this event has a limited number of tickets which must be reserved in advance. You must reserve your place by phone or email to Janet Foster: janetfoster123@btinternet.com 01874 665409. Only 32 seats. First come, first served!
No tickets will be sold or money taken at the door.
