An Orchestra for Brecon and District
Welcome to Brecknock Sinfonia / Croeso i fyd Sinffonia Brecknock
Brecknock Sinfonia is a first class Orchestra for Brecon and the surrounding district.
The orchestra is a blend of professional players, instrumental teachers, and talented amateurs from across South Wales and the Marches. They come together for four concerts a year, usually in Brecon Cathedral but sometimes in other venues.
Solo Flute: Viv John
Rossini: Overture to “The Italian Girl in Algiers”
Mozart – Andante K315 for Flute
Wagner – Siegfried Idyll
Beethoven: Symphony No. 4 in Bb Op. 60
The cost of tickets for the orchestra concerts has been held at £13.00 for some time but, regrettably, it is now felt necessary to raise the price to £15.00.
If is very helpful if you can let the organisers know in advance if you intend to come to the concert. As before this can be done be email to Webmaster@brecknocksinfonia.org.uk stating the number of people in your party and whether you wish to pay on the door, by BACS direct transfer to Brecknock Sinfonia Trust (sort code 30-90-02 account no 01079698) or by cheque made out to the Brecknock Sinfonia Trust and sent to our Treasurer, Vaughan Bennett, at 47 Oakfield Drive, Crickhowell NP8 1DR
We intend to trial the use of credit/debit card readers on the cathedral door for those wishing to pay by that means but please be prepared to pay cash in case the machines do not work satisfactorily.
