An Orchestra for Brecon and District
Welcome to Brecknock Sinfonia / Croeso i fyd Sinffonia Brecknock
Brecknock Sinfonia is a first class Orchestra for Brecon and the surrounding district.
The orchestra is a blend of professional players, instrumental teachers, and talented amateurs from across South Wales and the Marches. They come together for four concerts a year, usually in Brecon Cathedral but sometimes in other venues.
Joseph Haydn: Symphony 45 Hob.I:45 (The Farewell)
George Handel: Arrival of the Queen of Sheba
Alan Rawsthorne: Light Music for Strings
Benjamin Britten: Playful Pizzicato (from Simple Symphony Op. 4)
Jean Sibelius: Romance in C Op 42
Joseph Haydn Symphony 22 Hob.I.22 (The Philosopher)
If you have already booked tickets for the January concert they will be valid for March (Covid permitting) and we ask everyone to confirm by email to email@example.com whether you wish to attend in March. We need the confirmations please, so that we can keep a record of numbers for March. While it will be super if we by then have no restrictions on numbers, it does remain possible that the Cathedral will continue to set limits. So it’s best to be prepared.
More details will be published as they become available and will be subject to whatever Covid – 19 regulations are in force at the time
